Meet your guide in Halifax, Nova Scotia before your transfer to your accommodations in Baddeck, Cape Breton and settle in. Enjoy some free time to relax explore before meeting your group for a welcome dinner at the Inverary Resort. This evening, we will enjoy an evening cruise on the Winstar by Amoeba on the Bras d’Or Lakes, a UNESCO Biosphere.

After breakfast, gear up for a morning of kayaking along the beautiful North River (3 hours, easy to moderate).
With your free time this afternoon, you can explore the charming village of Baddeck, known for its connection to Alexander Graham Bell and visit the Alexander Graham Bell National Historic Site and learn about the inventor's fascinating life and inventions. Alternatively, you can stroll around Baddeck and visit local shops and restaurants that line the main street.
This evening, enjoy the thrill and excitement of exploring Cape Breton’s back country trails by all-terrain vehicle on a trail tour (2 hours). Return to your accommodation for a well-deserved rest.

After checking out of our hotel, we will travel to the west side of Cape Breton Island to Route 19, “The Musical Coast”.
This morning, you will explore the Celtic Shores Coastal Trail by e-bike, travelling toward the village of Mabou (26 km easy to moderate bike ride) and enjoy traditional Celtic music over a lunch showcasing local cuisine and flavors. After checking in to our accommodations., we will make a visit to the West Mabou Beach Provincial park.
In the evening, we attend a live Celtic music performance at a local pub or community hall. You may even dance a step or two!

Get ready for an exciting day of outdoor adventure and scenic viewpoints. Travel along the coast toward the Cape Breton Highlands National Park on the World-Famous Cabot Trail. We will hike the Skyline Trail (6.5 km easy to moderate), the most popular trail in Cape Breton due to its magnificent coastal headland views. Enjoy a seafood lunch in Pleasant Bay and try your luck at spotting whales from the shoreline.
We continue along the Cabot Trail discovering the history of the area and stopping in the small fishing villages that dot the coastline before checking in to your accommodations in Ingonish. Enjoy some time for dinner and relaxation on this last night of the tour.

After a hearty breakfast, you check out of your accommodations for the trip home. We make one last stop as we take the gondola to the top of Cape Smokey and enjoy the spectacular views over Ingonish’s North and South Bays. We bid farewell to Cape Breton Island and transfer to Halifax for departure.

We depart Halifax on the morning your tour begins around 9 pm. We will be in touch with everyone directly to arrange for pickup location.

Harry is a retired teacher and an avid hunter and fisherman. His favourite pastimes include volunteering in the community and rooting for his beloved Toronto Maple Leafs.

A Cape Bretoner, born and bred, Frank is deeply connected to the people of the island and enjoys sharing stories of their struggles and success. He can often be found with his camera on a tour and if you are lucky, he may even bring his guitar!
